Founder and President of Angel Group of Companies, Dr. Kwaku Oteng has presented Fifty Six (56) industrial sewing machines to some tailors and dressmakers in the Ashanti Region.

These Fifty Six are part of the One Thousand (1,000) dressmakers and tailors employed by the Adonko Company Limited for the production of its branded face masks.

The beneficiaries are paid and are given remunerations by the company.

The Deputy CEO of Angel Group of Companies, Mr. Boasiako Kwaku Duah who presented the 56 industrial sewing machines on behalf of Dr. Kwaku Oteng, to the dressmakers explained that Dr. Oteng’s motive for the gesture is to help create more jobs for the Ghanaian youth.

He indicated that Dr. Oteng who is a National Patron for the Ghana Tailors and Dressmakers Association, realizing that most of the dressmakers were not being highly productive due to the inefficiency of their machines, most of which were faulty or the domestic type, decided to buy them the brand-new industrial sewing machines to make their work easier for them.

Mr. Kwaku Dua disclosed that Dr. Oteng plans to extend this gesture to the several other dressmakers amongst the One Thousand who have challenges with their machines.

Advising the dressmakers on COVID-19 protocols, Mr. Duah urged them to see themselves as one of the agents in the fight against the pandemic since one of the items used for the fight, face mask, comes from them.

He appealed to them to observe all the Covid-19 safety protocols wherever they are.

Having received the items, the Ashanti Regional Vice Chairman of the Ghana Tailors and Dressmakers Association, Joseph Marfo Tawiah expressed gratitude to Dr. Kwaku Oteng for the support.

He was hopeful that the machines would boost the productivity of the recipients.
