President of Gabon, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, has arrived in Ghana for a three-day working visit at the invitation of President John Dramani Mahama.

President Nguema is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising government ministers, senior officials, and members of the Gabonese business community. The visit is expected to strengthen the growing bilateral relations between Ghana and Gabon.

During the visit, President Mahama and President Nguema are expected to hold a one-on-one meeting, followed by official bilateral talks at the Jubilee House.

The two leaders will review the current state of relations between Ghana and Gabon and explore opportunities to deepen cooperation in areas including trade and investment, mining, energy, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, maritime affairs, transport, tourism, education, health, defence and security, environmental protection, climate action, and people-to-people exchanges.

The visit is also expected to reaffirm the commitment of both countries to strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting sustainable economic development for the mutual benefit of the people of Ghana and Gabon.

As part of the visit, President Nguema will travel to Tamale on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, before returning to Accra later the same day.

On the final day of the visit, Thursday, July 30, 2026, President Nguema will leave the Kempinski Hotel at 10:00 a.m. for the Military Cemetery, where he will lay a wreath and interact with the family of fallen soldiers and the Military High Command.
