Former Black Stars player Kwadwo Asamoah has officially announced his retirement from professional football after a decade of his playing career.
The versatile midfielder who was occasionally deployed as a left-wing-back made the announcement on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, following a meeting with his agent Federico Pastorello.
The former Juventus, Udinese player who took to his social media to post, said it was an “Amazing time. Always a pleasure working with you Federico Pastorello.”
According to the firmer Liberty Professionals player, he is taking up a new challenge as a football agent after hanging his football boots.
His football agent, Federico Pastorello also in a post wished his client the best of luck in his next adventure as a football agent.
“Always the same amazing boy Kwadwo Asamoah!!! Good luck for your new challenge as a Football agent,” agent Federico Pastorello shared.
Kwadwo Asamoah during his career played for Liberty Professionals in Ghana before he traveled to abroad to continue his career with Udinese, Juventus, Inter Milan and Cagliari.
He played 279 times in for the European clubs scoring 12 goals. He holds the record for most appearances by an African player in Serie A history (279).
He won 13 accolades at Juventus including 6 Serie A trophies, 4 Coppa Italia, and 3 Supercoppa Italiana.
The 33-year-old also featured 74 times for the Black Stars of Ghana and managed to score 4 goals to his name.
