The Paramount Chief of  the Dormaa Traditional Area, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, has urged chiefs at the Bono Region to bring together resources to help promote  development in the region.

The chief made the call at a grand durbar to climax the week-long ‘Meko Bono’ Home Coming Festival which was on the theme: ”Unifying Our People for Development through Tourism and Culture” in Sunyani.

The President of the Bono Regional House of chiefs, Agyemang Badu II, believes that the unity among the Bono Regional Chiefs is a sure way to better the livelihoods of the people and the communities.

Therefore, Agyemang Badu II pleaded with the chiefs to support the implementation of the the yet-to-be launched Bonoman Development Fund, which would drive the development agenda for the people.

The event was initiated and organised by the ‘Bonofie’ with support from the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Sunyani Traditional Council, Bono Regional Coordinating Council, Centre for National Culture and the Ghana Tourism Authority.

According to Agyemang Badu II, the ‘Meko Bono’ Home Coming Festival has provided something new to the people and it will crosscut to other regions for maximum impact.
