The Ghana Education Service (GES) has condemned the misconduct of some senior high school students who used unprintable words on President Akufo-Addo in a viral video.

A viral video of some students at Chiana Senior High School in the Kassena Nankana West District saw some students use unpalatable words to describe the president.

In a statement issued by the GES’s Head of Public Relations, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, described the incident as unfortunate noting that it is against educational and moral principles in the Ghanaian society.

“The GES reaction comes on the back of a viral video circulating on social media involving some students misconducting themselves and using vulgar and unprintable words on the President of our land.

“Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) condemns this unfortunate act which is against every educational and moral principle in our society,” it said.

According to the GES, the students in the video have been identified as second-year students of Chiana Senior High School.

The school’s management has since commenced investigations to unravel the circumstances surrounding such unfortunate utterances and gestures.
