NDC’s conduct in Parliament will cause their defeat in 2024 polls – Clement Wilkinson

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga West, Clement Wilkinson, has predicted that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will lose the 2024 election due to what he describes as their “unruly behavior” in Parliament.

According to Wilkinson, the public has taken note of the NDC’s actions, which he believes are tarnishing their image and alienating voters.

Wilkinson criticized the NDC for refusing to sit in the designated minority seats in Parliament, a stance that has led to frequent clashes with the NPP over the majority seating area.

“Today, they are blocking any progress in Parliament because they refuse to follow protocol and sit in the minority section,” he said.

Wilkinson further accused the NDC of disrupting parliamentary business, claiming their actions have caused unnecessary confusion and delays.

He went on to criticize Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin, calling him a “violator of the constitution” for allegedly allowing such disorder to persist. Wilkinson believes Bagbin’s handling of these conflicts has only added to the disarray in the legislative body.

In his view, the NDC’s refusal to cooperate and adhere to parliamentary rules will not only hinder the work of Parliament but also affect their standing in the eyes of the electorate.
