The Member of Parliament for the Nsuta Kwaman Beposo Constituency, Adelaide Ntim, has expressed support and solidarity with traders at the Kantamanto market, who were affected by the devastating fire that swept through the market on January 2, 2025.
Madam Ntim, offering immediate relief to the victims, donated a generous amount of GH¢50,000 to assist those impacted and promised to return later with additional support.
The donation was specifically aimed at supporting over 100 victims from the Nsuta Kwaman Beposo Constituency, helping them revive their businesses. She also pledged continued assistance to help them rebuild their lives.
This gesture was made during her visit to the Kantamanto Market over the weekend. During the visit, Madam Ntim consoled the victims and reassured them of her ongoing support.
On their part, Adjei Amponsah, popularly known as Alaska, the chairman of the Nsuta Kwaman Beposo Traders Association in Kantamanto, took the opportunity to express gratitude to the MP for her swift response to their plea.
He emphasized that traders from Nsuta Kwaman will continue to offer support to her administration whenever needed.
The traders also called on the government to expedite efforts to restore their livelihoods, noting that Kantamanto remains a vital economic hub for thousands of people in Ghana and beyond.
