Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has commended Delta Air Lines for its commitment to Ghana over the past 20 years.
he described the airline’s presence in the country as a strong reflection of confidence in Ghana’s future and its growing importance as a gateway to Africa.

Mr Debrah made the remarks in a Facebook post after joining the leadership, staff and partners of Delta Air Lines to celebrate the airline’s 20th anniversary of operations in Ghana.

According to the Chief of Staff, Delta Air Lines has played a significant role in strengthening ties between Ghana and the United States by connecting people, businesses and opportunities across the two countries.
“It was a pleasure to join the leadership, staff, and partners of Delta Air Lines to celebrate a remarkable milestone, 20 years of Delta’s operations in Ghana,” he wrote.

Reflecting on the airline’s impact, Mr Debrah noted that Delta’s contribution goes beyond air travel.
“Over the past two decades, Delta has done more than connect Accra to destinations across the United States. The airline has connected families, facilitated business and investment, supported tourism, and strengthened the enduring bonds between Ghana and the United States,” he stated.

The Chief of Staff praised the airline for its consistency, resilience and continued confidence in Ghana’s economy, saying its long-standing operations in the country underscore the strength of the partnership between Ghana and the United States.
“In my remarks, I commended Delta for its consistency, resilience, and confidence in Ghana’s future. Their long-standing presence in our country reflects the strength of our partnership and the growing importance of Ghana as a gateway to Africa,” he added.

Mr Debrah also highlighted government’s efforts to improve the country’s aviation sector through investments in infrastructure, including ongoing expansion works at the Accra International Airport.
“As Government continues to invest in world-class aviation infrastructure, including the ongoing expansion of facilities at the Accra International Airport, we remain committed to creating an enabling environment that supports connectivity, trade, tourism, and economic growth,” he said.

He congratulated Delta Air Lines on reaching the milestone and expressed optimism about the future of the partnership between the airline and Ghana.
“Congratulations to Delta Air Lines on this important milestone. We look forward to even stronger partnerships and many more years of connecting people, opportunities, and possibilities across continents,” the Chief of Staff stated.

Delta Air Lines began operating flights to Ghana in 2006 and has since become one of the key international carriers linking Ghana to the United States, facilitating travel, trade, tourism and investment between the two countries.
