The Nkawkaw Fire Station Visibility Team rescued a three-year-old boy from drowning during at Nkawkaw Kwamang in the Eastern Region.
The life-saving moment happened during a routine community engagement exercise by officers of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
In a statement, the Service said the team spotted the child in distress in a stream near Access Pub and Restaurant while interacting with the facility’s Chief Executive Officer.
It noted that the officers swiftly intervened to save his life.
“The timely rescue underscores the Ghana National Fire Service’s commitment to protecting lives during emergencies and routine public engagements,” parts of the statement said.
