Shatta Wale, has praised the UK police and local council for quickly stepping in after chaos broke out during the ShattaFest event in the United Kingdom.
According to the dancehall king, he had earlier warned his team that the way the event was organised could attract the attention of the authorities.
Speaking during a TikTok Live on August 2, 2026, Shatta Wale said he noticed there were serious problems with the organisation of the event even before he arrived at the venue.
He alleged that the organisers tried to combine Party in the Park with his annual ShattaFest brand, a move he believes was motivated by greed rather than proper planning.
“I told my team, including my wives, that with the way the organisers had planned the event, police would come around. I didn’t even see the set-up yet, but I saw what was going on. Greed will make you do something and you’ll be wondering how you did that,” he said.
The musician further claimed that the organisers decided to merge Party in the Park with ShattaFest because he would be attending, while planning for him to hold his standalone ShattaFest edition the following year.
“They just decided that since I would be there, they would merge Party in the Park with ShattaFest so that I would do mine next year. People have been complaining about Party in the Park, but I just wanted to help. You already know the agreement we had, but I don’t want to disclose it here,” he stated.
Shatta Wale also accused the organisers of failing to fulfil some parts of their agreement.
He explained that while he was responsible for arranging his travel to the UK and came with his wife, the organisers were expected to arrange transportation for his team.
“It was my part to move myself here and I came with my wife. It was your part to also get my team here,” he said.
Shatta Wale expressed concern over public safety, saying he was relieved that the authorities stepped in before the event could proceed under what he described as unsafe conditions.
He stressed that organisers should not put people’s lives at risk simply to make money.
