Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has expressed surprise after a video showing people pounding fufu at the venue of his cancelled UK Shatta Fest surfaced online.
The event, which was scheduled to take place in the United Kingdom, was cancelled after organisers announced that they were unable to proceed due to venue and logistical challenges.
Following the cancellation, videos from the event grounds circulated on social media, showing some people and vendors still gathered at the venue and engaging in various activities, including fufu pounding.
The scenes appeared to leave Shatta Wale puzzled, as he questioned why a fufu-pounding activity was taking place at the venue that was supposed to host his concert.
During a TikTok live session, the dancehall artiste reacted to the viral footage, expressing disbelief over what he saw.
“Show wey dem dey pound fufu under? Shatta Wale show you want pound fufu. But why, Charlie? Witch your chop bar life, ei, I no dey understand this thing oo. What kind of life be that?” he said.
