Lawyer Kissi Agyebeng has discounted claims that he will be a puppet of some mebers of the ruling government when he is finally sworn in as the Special Prosecutor for the nation.
Speaking at his much-watched vetting in Parliament on Thuirsday, 22nd July, 2021, Mr Agyebeng said he would act independently after he is sworn-in to occupy the office which became vacant following the resignation of Martin Amidu.
“There was reference to filling the heavy shoes of named individaul [Martin Amidu], but I will prefer to wear my own shoes in the sense that, I’m my own man, and I’m coming with my own experience and professional training…,” he said.
According to him, he will achieve this by relying on “my conscience and knowledge of the law is going to be my guide.”
