President John Dramani Mahama has nominated the first batch of Chief Executives for various Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDCEs) across the country.

This list was released on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from the Presidency and signed by Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President.

The nominations were made in accordance with Article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20 (1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), as amended.

He noted that the assumption of office by these nominees is subject to the approval of the respective Assemblies.

Eight regions, including Volta, Oti, Ahafo, Bono, Bono East, Savannah, North East, and Western North, benefited from the president’s first batch of nominations.
