The bureau acknowledged that a 100th Day measure for the IGP has not been the norm, and thus do not expect to see any significant changes in the realm of safety and security within this short period.

It however, said that “we are minded by the fact that this survey will provide hints and leads into the general opinion of the public on safety and security cum police performance”.

Dr. Dampare George Akuffo Dampare was appointed by President Akufo-Addo in July, 2021 as the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) and was sworn in as the substantive on October 8, 2021.

His appointment was generally welcomed by the public, many of whom have commended his leadership.
