I’ll form my own party if NPP executives are re-elected – Kennedy Agyapong

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has threatened to form his own political party if executives of the party are re-elected in the upcoming election for new national executives.

The NPP has set July 14 to July 16, 2022, to elect new national executives to lead the party to steers the affairs of the party.

According to the vocal politician, he will form his own political party known as “Abrↄ” which means “Wickedness”.

Speaking on Asaase FM’s “Breakfast Show” on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, Kennedy Agyapong, a major party financier, said the current executives have failed the party woefully therefore must be voted out.

“All the current executives including Yaw Buaben Asamoah, if they don’t vote them out, I will form a political party and the name of the party will be Abrↄ” he threatened.

The Kencity Media owner has also warned that he would not returned to parliament if President Akuffo-Addo heeds to the demands of the Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo.

Adwoa Safo has recently come under fire from some NPP members over her protracted absence in Parliament, which has adversely affected government business.

According to the lawmaker who is also a business man, Adwoa Safo is demanding for the removal of Deputy Majority Leader, Alexander Kwabena Afenyo-Markin before she returns to Parliament.

“If the President heeds to Adwoa Safo’s demands then I will also go to the US and demand that the President resigns before I come to Parliament,” Kennedy Agyapong told the host Kwaku Nhyira-Addo.

Meanwhile, the Assin Central MP on Monday, February 21, 2022 condemned the attitude of her baby mama Adwoa Safo, stating that she can go to hell because her request wouldn’t be granted by the party.

Mr. Agyapong stressed by indicating that the Dome-Kwabena MP who doubles as the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection cannot hold the party to ransom.
