The Ministry of Roads and Highways has announced plans to reintroduce road and bridge tolls as part of efforts to generate revenue for road maintenance and infrastructure development.
In a statement issued on Thursday, February 6, 2025, and signed by Nastar Ahmad Yartey, Head of the Public Relations Unit, the Ministry assured Ghanaians of a modern, technologically advanced toll collection system designed to improve efficiency and transparency.
“The Ministry will employ an open, transparent, competitive, cost-effective, and fair procurement process,” the statement emphasized.
