The lawmaker for the people of Akyem Oda Constituency in the Eastern Region, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has eulogized the late Joseph Ade-Coker, widely known as Chairman Ade-Coker.
He described the deceased as “affable and humble”, someone who never compromised his humility regardless of a person’s class, age, or political affiliation.

In a tribute to the late Chairman Ade-Coker, Mr. Acquah said the former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was honest in all his dealings.
“We usually appeared on several media platforms as panelists apart from this platform and two others, twice every week. Whenever you met him, he would speak to you truthfully about the matter and also offer a piece of advice.
“In fact, he was so affable that sometimes you’d forget he belonged to the NDC,” the Akyem Oda MP said soberly.
He noted that their relationship went beyond politics, stating that Ade-Coker also served as a counselor and advisor to him.
“Anytime we met, he applauded me for my service to the country, but he repeatedly advised me to focus on my businesses and not politics alone,” Mr. Acquah recalled.
He further described the late Chairman Ade-Coker’s passing as a “sad event” and a significant loss to “both the football and political” spheres.
Alexander Akwasi Acquah, struggling to find the right words to describe Chairman Ade-Coker’s death, disclosed, “I wept” after first hearing the news.
Until Chairman Ade-Coker passed on, he was a regular panel member of Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Angel TV alongside – Alexander Akwasi Acquah and Nana Yaw Sarpong of the Movement for Change as co-panalists.
