The Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) has promised a new era of mandatory service focused on the interests of the general public.
According to the Authority’s Greater Regional Manager, Clement Kubati, the days of GSA’s voice and proactiveness going unheard are over.
He noted that the Authority is fully aligned with President John Dramani Mahama’s “Resetting Ghana Agenda,” emphasizing that GSA will ensure Ghanaians are safe with what they consume and purchase.
“As I have indicated in some of the interviews, the country is on a reset. GSA is not only resetting, we’re also refocusing and recalibrating and GSA will rise again. Those days of GSA not being heard of are past,” he stated on Angel TV, on Friday, May 22, 2026.
Mr. Kubati stressed the importance of this reset and said, “There’s new leadership in place, and things are going to change.”
The Regional Manager reminded the public that achieving this is a collective effort, and they must act as watchdogs by reporting those found culpable for dealing in substandard goods.
“We also encourage Ghanaians to provide us with information; it is very important for achieving this cause because there is a lot to do, and it shouldn’t rely solely on GSA. It is an all-hands-on-deck approach,” he added.
