The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released funds for the payment of perishable items for Senior High School (SHS) and Senior High Technical School (SHTS) students.

According to a letter dated July 15, 2026, the funds cover the period from March 1, 2026, to September 4, 2026, for SHS 2 and SHS 3 students.

Addressed to all Regional Directors of Education, the letter directed them to notify heads of Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools that the funds had been transferred into the various school accounts.

GES said the funds are intended for the payment of perishable items for the stated period.

The Service further reminded heads of the beneficiary schools to submit official receipts for the funds received to the Director-General through their Regional Accountants.

The letter, signed by Deputy Director-General (Quality and Access), Dr. Munawaru Issahaque, on behalf of the Director-General, expressed appreciation for the continued cooperation of Regional Directors and school authorities.
