Fire has destroyed 5 wooden structures used for residential purposes at Teshie First Junction, opposite the Latter-Day Saints Church, but firefighters are working to prevent it from spreading further.
Firefighters from the Trade Fair and Ministries Fire Stations have been deployed to the scene.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the 5 wooden structures and their contents have been totally burnt. Some ECG cables and a pole have also been partially burnt.
The GNFS said 8 other wooden structures and 5 adjoining shops have been salvaged from the fire.
No casualty has been recorded.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
