A Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party, George Krobea Asante, has expressed doubts about former President John Mahama’s ability to provide the bold leadership needed to address the nation’s challenges.

Asante argued that with Mahama’s extensive experience, he should be well-equipped to propose effective solutions to the country’s problems. However, Asante feels that Mahama has failed to do so.

“I believe that the National Democratic Congress and John Mahama, as a former president seeking re-election, he should be able to present better policies and ideas to prove they are ready to lead but he has failed,” Asante stated.

He went on to criticize the opposition party, suggesting that neither Mahama nor his party seem prepared or fully understand their own policies.

Asante specifically pointed to Mahama’s explanation of his “24-hour economy” policy, calling it confusing and contradictory.

“Mahama’s explanation of his 24-hour economy policy is incoherent. On one hand, he talks about giving chickens to the youth for farming, and on the other, he suggests that government institutions will operate in three shifts a day,” Asante remarked.

“This clearly shows that he is confused and has nothing substantial to offer,” he added.
