President John Dramani Mahama has called for ethical leadership and national unity, urging Ghanaians to uphold strong values and embrace diversity to ensure the country’s progress.
At the first National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving for Muslims held at the National Mosque in Kanda on July 1, 2025, President Mahama spoke about Ghana’s 30 years of democracy.
He urged Ghanaians to focus not just on elections, but also on the values that unite the nation.
He encouraged Ghanaians to think about how each person can help build the nation, stating that the National Day of Prayer should not just be a ceremony but a time for serious reflection and renewed commitment.
He said true progress comes not from speeches or slogans, but from living out good values every day in homes, businesses, and public life.
President Mahama quoted the Holy Quran, saying diversity is a blessing, not a weakness.
He urged Ghanaians to embrace their differences so the country can prosper.
