The Ghana Education Service (GES) has debunked a misleading advertisement circulating online that claims the GES is organizing a “Promotion Examination Workshop.”
In a post shared on its Facebook page, the GES clarified that it is not organizing any such workshop and has not mandated anyone to participate in the purported examination.
The fraudulent flyer, which bears the logos of the Institute for Research and Educational Development (IREAD Ghana) and other entities, promotes a “Ghana Education Service Promotion Examination Workshop” with a registration fee of ₵2,500.
The advertisement has been marked with a large red “FAKE” stamp in the GES announcement, warning the public against the scam.
Education officials urge the public to disregard the fake promotion and to verify information directly with the Ghana Education Service or official educational authorities before engaging with any examination or workshop programs.
The GES advises vigilance against similar misinformation and encourages reporting of fraudulent educational schemes to the appropriate authorities to protect the integrity of the education system and prevent financial exploitation of educators.
