Accra is preparing to host a major international gathering as the 6th Global Women’s Professional & Business Exchange Conference returns to Ghana later this year. The three-day event, organised by the U.S.–Ghana Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for May 26 to 28, 2026 at Wesley Towers.
Under the theme “Global Women, Shared Power: Leading Across Borders – Connect. Exchange. Rise.”, the conference will bring together women executives, entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors and emerging leaders from across the globe to explore leadership, innovation and cross-border collaboration.
Driving global collaboration
Organisers say the conference will host high-level plenary sessions featuring global thought leaders, alongside executive roundtables and breakout discussions focused on business growth and investment opportunities.
Mentorship programmes will connect emerging professionals with experienced leaders, while curated networking sessions will create avenues for engagement with corporations, investors and institutions worldwide.
Exhibitions will also spotlight women-led businesses and innovations, reinforcing the role of women in driving economic transformation.
Spotlight on inclusion and impact
Beyond corporate conversations, the event will address pressing social and economic issues, including mental health awareness, work-life balance, and inclusive growth.
Key discussions will also highlight women’s participation in emerging industries such as technology, energy, finance and trade.
The conference will conclude with a Global Women’s Awards and Fundraising Gala in support of paediatric cancer care and sickle cell disease awareness and treatment initiatives in Ghana.
“A movement, not just an event”
President of the Chamber, Florence Torson-Hart, underscored the significance of the initiative.
“This conference is more than an event—it is a movement. We are bringing together global women leaders to not only exchange ideas, but to build partnerships that will shape economies, transform communities, and create lasting generational impact,” she said.
Wide participation anticipated
The conference is open to women business leaders, corporate organisations, investors, government officials, development partners, NGOs and young professionals seeking to expand their networks and influence.
