The Deputy Minister of Finance and Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman, Thomas Ampem Nyarko, has launched the 2nd edition of the Ampem Educamp 2026 in the Eastern Region.
The two-week camp, which runs from August 2 to August 16, 2026, is bringing together Form 2 students from across the constituency. It is aimed at grooming young people to become intellectuals who can drive Ghana’s development agenda.
Speaking at the opening ceremony at Akosombo International School, Karim Awudu, Special Aide to the MP, said the Deputy Minister stressed that the country’s future depends on investing in the minds of the youth through education and capacity building.
According to him, the first edition of the camp produced remarkable results in the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination.
He expressed optimism that the current edition will produce more students capable of contributing meaningfully to national growth.
Awudu added that the MP’s vision for the next 15 years is to see students from Asuogyaman actively participating in national development.
He also assured that needy but brilliant students in the constituency will receive support to pursue their academic dreams.
Some beneficiary students of the Ampem Educamp 2026 thanked the MP for the initiative, describing it as an opportunity to sharpen their academic excellence.
