In a groundbreaking at the lunch of the Ghana Smart School Project (GSSP), President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said the project forms part of his government’s visionary strategy for the educational system in the country.
In his speech at the lunch, the president outlined his bold vision for the future of education in the country, adding that it goes beyond mere technological integration, aiming to redefine the very essence of education in Ghana.
Departing from conventional approaches, the strategy he noted revolves around the concept of “holistic intelligence” – an innovative framework designed to cultivate not just academic excellence, but also emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and creativity in students.
“Today, we embark on a journey that transcends the boundaries of traditional education,” President Akufo-Addo declared. The Ghana Smart School Project is not just about equipping classrooms with state-of-the-art,” President Akufo-Addo said.
President Akufo-Addo said to achieve this goal, his administration is building one hundred smart schools to boost the digitalization agenda in schools across the country.
