The founder of the Independent Election Security and Compliance Watches (IESCW), Richard Kumadoe, has expressed concerns over the “stupidity” Western Education has brought about in the country.

He wondered why a majority of Ghanaians have refused to act responsibly and meaningfully in their day-to-day activities, despite possessing all the qualifications achieved in life through education.

Speaking in an interview on the Angel Morning Show, Mr. Kumadoe opined that the growing rate at which Western education also known as formal education is nurturing “educated illiterates” in the country is a cause to worry.

“I don’t know why Western Education has not helped black people to enable them to be effective in anything they do. I understand we have over 28 thousand of PHD holders in the country in addition to degrees, doctorates, and master’s holders but all these have rather created stupidity,” the Security and Fraud Consultant told show host, Kojo Oppong Kyeremeh, on the Tuesday edition of the show.

Despite acknowledging the intellectuals the educational system has contributed to nation building, he believes there must be a wake-up call to ensure that issues on lack of good sense or judgement and the waywardness are addressed.
