Former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo, has asked Gabby Otchere-Darko to go ahead and call her whatever name he preferred, because she is not bothered about his “nuisance.”
According to the immediate past Chief Justice, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, is less important to her since he is not a member of the government, therefore, sees his public utterance as a “disturbance.”
She was responding to Otchere-Darko’s recent tweets in which he went after Madam Sophia Akuffo, following her decision to picket the Finance Ministry with the pensioner bondholders.
He further described the move by the immediate past C.J as an “emotional outburst” and was worried how a former C.J owed it to herself and her social standing, to have understood the issues far better than what she exhibited last Friday.
(6) For a former CJ to take up a noble cause such as she did but at such late hour when all was done and for all that publicity, she owed it to herself and her social standing to have understood the issues far better than what she exhibited last Friday. She is bigger than that.

(5) I was among those who pleaded for the exemption of pensioners. But, the Govt had to balance all that with the need to protect the economy for the 33m population and settled on the 15% yield maturing in 5yrs instead of 15, and that the individual was FREE not to participate.

(4) Why picket over something you don't like (the improved offer) when you have the right not to sign up? Sorry, but I struggle to get her emotional outburst over exemption! I hope she won't volunteer to picket tomorrow and on the same issues when the time to sign up has expired.

But responding to Mr. Darko’s indirect attack on her, Madam Sophia Akuffo stated categorically that she is not moved by the latter’s comment because, he has become a nuisance amidst forcibly forcing himself to be a member of the NPP government.
“He [Gabby] cannot tell me what I need to do and what I do not need to do and it’s as simple as that. You know I don’t have time for things like that because people like Gabby are not important to me or my life. He is a disturbance and that’s all I can say about it,” she fired.
According to her since she is concerned about the welfare of human beings in that matter, she would never be distracted if Gabby Otchere-Darko calls her “paranoid.”
“Gabby Otchere-Darko call me paranoid, I don’t care, we are talking about people, we are talking about human beings, we are talking about people who have served this country and have served well and served hard, not easy service,” she told journalists on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, when she joined the pensioner bondholders’ to picket at the Finance Ministry again.
