Renowned Ghanaian musician, Maradona Yeboah Adjei popularly known as Guru has shared profound insights into the enduring impact of his music career and the journey to success in the industry.

In an interview on Y’aduma Nie on Angel FM with Ohemaa Woyeje, Guru reflected on the significance of one’s first love, particularly in the realm of music.

According to the ‘Lapaz Toyota and Poley’ hit maker, music has played an important role in establishing a lasting reputation and financial security for him, hence described music as a  comprehensive entity that can sustain individuals throughout their lives.

“Everyone’s first love is something they’ll never forget. People got to know my name through music, and music is a whole entity. You must be rich for the rest of your life” he stated.

Guru further acknowledged the comparisons in the music industry, noting that while artists may initially be likened to others, with time, they carve out their unique identities.

“Music is a like process or range, and for everything, there is a comparison. People will compare you with somebody but later they’ll go blend you with another person, then you’ll see it’s too late,” he said.

He highlighted the transformative nature of these comparisons, which ultimately distinguish artists and solidify their place in the industry.

Guru outlined key elements that contributes to an artist’s success, emphasizing the importance of these factors in achieving greatness in the field.

“If someone is great, there are things that makes him or her successful only if he or she is determined to,” he said.
