The Black Stars of Ghana were held to a 2:2 draw by Cranes of Uganda in their second international friendly match which also happens to be coach Otto Addo’s second game since his reappointment.

The match took place at the Stade de Marrakech in Marrakech, Morocco, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, following last Friday’s defeat to the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the same venue.

Captained by Jordan Ayew, the ‘Stars’ scored two first-half goals with the Cranes of Uganda pulled one back before proceedings of the first department of the game ended.

Ghana’s goals were scored by a Jereome Opoku header from a Jordan Ayew corner in the 7th minute before Jordan the provider, was scorer in the 28th minute via the penalty kick after Dennis Odoi was fouled in the box.

Black Stars tried to hold onto their 2-1 scoreline until the 86th minute when Muhammad Shaban scored the second goal for Uganda to draw level and denied Ghana the win. The game ended 2-2.

This means Otto Addo and his newly constituted technical team have failed to record their first win for Ghana in 180 minutes of football action since taking over the post.
