Senior Lecturer in the Department of Political Science, University of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Asah-Asante, has asserted that, Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has the needed experience and will be a best pair with New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

This comment comes after latest National Investigative Bureau (NIB) survey puts Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh ahead as running mate to Dr. Mahumudu Bawumia.

He asserted that in choosing a running mate it is imperative to consider certain important characteristics that will make the ticket pair perfect.

Stressing on Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh’s experience, Dr. Asah-Asante pointed out that the Energy Minister has experience in key sectors of the economy making him a formidable pair with Dr. Bawumia.

“Apart from his experience as a member of parliament, he is a Doctor by profession and has also served as an Education Minister and is currently serving as the Energy Minister.

“These are all important attributes he is bringing to complement the ticket,” he added.
