The presidential candidate for the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, has asserted that rigging elections is impossible if proper vigilance is maintained.

Speaking on Angel Morning Show (AMS) on October 24, 2024, he expressed confidence in the Electoral Commission (EC) and its preparedness for the upcoming elections. He noted that the EC had already begun printing ballot papers across eight printing houses nationwide.

Akpaloo emphasized that each political party is allowed to have three representatives at each of the eight printing houses to monitor the process around the clock.

“Each party will have a total of 24 representatives at the printing houses, with one person covering each shift: morning, afternoon, and evening. This ensures that the printing process is transparent and free of manipulation,” he explained.

He further noted that it is nearly impossible to rig elections if candidates and their teams remain vigilant.

“If you’re serious about the election and place trained, trustworthy agents at every polling station, they will ensure that everything runs smoothly. These agents must be well-trained and should not be swayed by bribes or any attempts to influence the results,” Akpaloo added.

He further called on Ghanaians to respect and protect the Electoral Commission as an institution, assuring the public that the EC cannot rig elections for any candidate.
