In a bold move set to redefine Ghana’s political landscape, a new non-partisan advocacy group, the Independent Parliamentarians Advocacy Group Ghana (IPAGG), has emerged with a mission to transform how Ghanaians view their parliamentary representation.

IPAGG, founded by Mr. John Yeboah, is committed to promoting and supporting independent parliamentary candidates across all 275 constituencies, aiming to establish them as viable, non-partisan members of Parliament.

The formation of IPAGG marks a significant departure from the traditional party-driven approach that has long dominated Ghana’s political system. The group seeks to address the growing discontent with the current political structure, offering independent candidates as an alternative that could bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the country’s pressing challenges.

As the 2024 general elections draw nearer, IPAGG is intensifying its efforts to engage with voters, stakeholders, and the media. The organization’s strategy is to raise awareness about the crucial role independent candidates can play in fostering a more inclusive and representative parliamentary system—one where diverse voices are heard and decisions are made in the best interest of the entire nation, free from the constraints of partisan influences.

IPAGG’s vision is not just about supporting individual candidates; it’s about inspiring a movement. By providing resources, support, and a platform for independent candidates, the group is working to ensure that these candidates have the necessary tools to campaign effectively and win seats in Parliament.

This initiative, according to Mr. Yeboah, is crucial for creating a more balanced and accountable political system in Ghana, one that contributes to the nation’s democratic growth and development.
