A member of the communications team for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Owusu Banahene, has expressed deep frustration with Ghana’s judicial system, claiming it fails to deliver justice.
Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, Banahene revealed his lack of faith in the courts, stating that he would prefer not to turn to them when facing legal challenges.
“I have no hope in the judicial system,” Banahene lamented. “People should be aware that when they go to court expecting justice, they may end up having to take matters into their own hands.”
He further shared his personal stance, saying, “If I face a problem, I’d rather stay put than go to court. And if I must fight, I’ll take that fight to the streets.”
Banahene also criticized the judiciary for what he believes is political bias, suggesting that the courts are increasingly being used as tools to serve the interests of the executive branch, further eroding public trust in the legal system.
