Security expert and consultant Richard Kumadoe is calling for a renewed approach to peacebuilding in the Nkwanta South enclave following the long-standing conflict.

He suggested that national stakeholders adopt dialogue-driven strategies and decisive security protocols to stem the ongoing unrest.

Mr. Kumadoe also highlighted the urgency of holding perpetrators of the conflict accountable.

“Criminals who fostered and facilitated crime would have to be arrested and prosecuted as quickly as possible and without delay,” he said in a statement following the renewed conflicts.

Amid heightened tensions and fears of escalation, he proposed a coordinated security reassessment to guide effective state intervention.

“I suggestively recommend a new security-risk assessments warrant on the ground and swift political-governance procedures in place to effectively deal with the conflict situation before it gets out of hand,” he noted.

Mr. Kumadoe, underscoring the human toll and impact on the communities, emphasized that “preservation and protection of lives and property must be a predominant priority interest without wavering.”
