The High Court has reaffirmed its earlier ruling, directing the applicants in the over funeral arrangements for the late Daddy Lumba.
The Court ordered the applicants in the case to pay GH₵2million by 2:00 pm on Friday, December 12, before the funeral for the late music legend could go on.
The payment was intended to comply with the court’s previous judgment, which involved financial restitution to the affected party.
However, Angel News Court Correspondent, Ama Brako Ampofo reported that, the family failed to meet the stipulated deadline, raising questions about enforcement and possible legal consequences.
The court has yet to announce the next steps, but legal experts suggest that further actions, including contempt proceedings or additional sanctions, could follow.
The case has attracted significant public attention due to the large sum involved and the implications of non-compliance.
Observers note that adherence to court orders is critical in maintaining trust in Ghana’s judicial system.
The High Court has urged all parties involved to cooperate fully and warned that failure to comply with directives could lead to strict consequences.
