According to the President, the initiative is being implemented through the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) as part of government’s commitment to improving education and reducing unemployment.
President Mahama made the announcement during Eid-ul-Adha prayers, where he addressed Muslims and urged the youth to remain disciplined and focused on education, skills development and entrepreneurship.

Mr. Mahama commended the Chief Executive Officer of the YEA, Malik Basintale, and his team for ensuring the successful recruitment and payment of the teachers.
He also revealed that government plans to expand the programme by recruiting more Arabic teachers in the coming years.
