The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced an expedited process to replace Ghanaian passports lost or damaged during this week’s devastating floods across parts of the country.
In a statement dated Friday, July 3, 2026, the Ministry extended condolences to families who lost loved ones and expressed solidarity with all Ghanaians affected by the destruction of lives and property.
The Ministry noted that many citizens may have lost or had their passports damaged due to the flooding. To support victims, it will fast-track the replacement of affected documents at no mention of additional delay.
Affected individuals have been asked to contact the Ministry from Friday, July 3 to Friday, July 17, 2026 on 055 936 8563. Callers are to provide their full name, date of birth, and gender as they appeared on the lost or damaged passport, plus a contact phone number for easy follow-up.
The Ministry said it intends to replace all lost and damaged passports within a week of receiving the details.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stands in solidarity with all affected persons during this difficult period and remains committed to supporting government’s recovery efforts,” the statement added.
