Organisers are set to hold the funeral of renowned Ghanaian inventor and founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Professor Emeritus Kwadwo Safo, tomorrow, Thursday, July 30, 2026, and over the weekend.
Preparations were ongoing as of Wednesday, July 29, at the funeral grounds, with canopies, seating, and sound systems being set up ahead of the planned activities.
The event is however being held despite a court restraining order secured by the Head of the Kantanka Family, Nana Kojo Safo Akofena.
Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, July 28, Nana Akofena said the burial should be suspended until the courts interpret his father’s will, citing disputes over its implementation.
Despite the legal challenge, sources close to the funeral planning team say arrangements will go ahead as scheduled.
