The Ministry of Education has announced the disbursement of GHC26 million Ghana Cedis to pay arrears owed to Institutional Suppliers which provide school uniforms, PE kits, and stationery to students as part of the Free Senior High School programme.
This was announced in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ministry of Education, Kwasi Kwarteng.

“The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce the disbursement of GHC26,000,000.00 to institutional suppliers’ responsible for the supply of school uniforms, P.E Kits, stationary, etc as part of the Free Senior High School program,” the statement read in part.
It explained that the amount released underscores the Government’s commitment to fostering quality education and ensuring the smooth running of educational institutions.
“The Ministry affirms its commitment to ensuring smooth, timely, and efficient distribution of resources as we continue our efforts to improve and sustain quality education in Ghana,” the statement added.
