The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued strict protocols and guidelines for the conduct of its forthcoming Regional Elections, as part of measures to ensure a credible, transparent, orderly and peaceful process.
In a statement dated Thursday, November 5, 2026, and signed by the General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party reminded all members, aspirants, delegates and election officials of the key protocols governing the elections.
The party said there shall be no proxy voting, and that every eligible delegate must be physically present to cast his or her vote.
On identification and validation, the party said delegates must present any one of a valid NDC Party Identification Card, an official accreditation document, or an embossed photograph as captured in the approved voters’ register.
On voting hours, the party said voting shall commence at 7:00 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m., but delegates already in the queue by 4:00 p.m. shall be allowed to vote.
On security arrangements, the party said the Ghana Police Service shall have sole responsibility for security at all election centres, and that personal security accompanying government officials or any other individuals shall not be permitted within designated voting areas.
The party urged all aspirants, delegates, supporters and election officials to comply fully with the guidelines and conduct themselves with discipline, restraint and responsibility.
It also encouraged all stakeholders to work together to ensure peaceful, credible and transparent elections that uphold the democratic values and unity of the party.
