The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has formally charged Real Tamale United (RTU) with a breach of Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019.
This charge comes in the wake of RTU’s Ghana Premier League match against Dreams FC.
According to the allegations, RTU deliberately misled match officials by fielding unregistered players who impersonated officially registered team members during the game.
This act of deception constitutes a serious misconduct, tarnishing the integrity of the sport.
The accusation levelled against RTU was quiet evident when they heavily lost to Dreams FC in their rescheduled week 28 fixture.
Real Tamale United has been given until Friday, June 14, 2024, to respond to these charges. The GFA’s regulatory actions underscore their commitment to maintaining fair play and upholding the rules of the game.
