The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has officially introduced Manhyia South Member of Parliament (MP), Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh to the national officers of the party as his running mate for the 2024 elections.
The Vice President settled on NAPO as his running mate for the 2024 elections and has since been introducing him to the hierarchy of the party as the chosen one.
The meeting which occured at the NPP’s headquarters in Asylum Down follows an earlier presentation of Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s nomination to the majority caucus of Parliament.
The nomination however, awaits the decision of the National Council which is the final approving organ of the NPP.
Information reaching Angelonline.com.gh is that the NPP will hold an emergency national council meeting on Thursday where NAPO will officially be introduced as well.
