The Jospong Group of Companies (JGC), a leading conglomerate in Ghana and West Africa, has sought to establish partnerships with Indian businesses at the recently concluded 19th Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) India-Africa Business Conclave 2024, held in New Delhi from August 20 to 22, 2024.
The summit, themed “Creating one future,” aimed to strengthen ties between India and Africa to boost economic growth.
The Head of Delegation and Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Noah Gyimah, emphasised the importance of Ghana-India partnerships, stating, “Our participation demonstrates our commitment to building strong, lasting relationships with Indian counterparts.”
He added, “We believe that through collaboration, we can harness the potential of both our countries to drive economic growth and create opportunities for our people.”
The Jospong delegation engaged in high-level discussions with Indian counterparts, exploring avenues for collaboration across various sectors. As Gold Sponsors, the Group hosted an exhibition showcasing its achievements across all areas of operation.
According to Communications Manager, Mr. Strive Kakraba, the Group’s participation underscored its strategic commitment to expanding operations beyond Ghana’s borders, leveraging India’s advanced technology and industrial development expertise.
“The Group’s participation marked a significant step forward in its journey towards creating impactful and enduring partnerships that have the potential to impact many African businesses and nations,” he said.
The delegation held fruitful meetings with Indian companies in sectors like waste management, water, sanitation, renewable energy, and agriculture, where Jospong Group has significant expertise and experience.
These discussions aimed to identify areas of mutual interest and collaborations that could contribute to sustainable development in Ghana and other African countries.

Indian Vice President Mr. Jangdeep Dhankhar, highlighted India’s investments in African infrastructure projects and its commitment to capacity-building, training, and education.
He stressed the potential for deeper economic integration and mutual development through the AfCFTA and India’s DFTP scheme.
