A leading member of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change, Akwasi Addai Odike, has said the promises made by both John Mahama and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in their manifestoes reveal a fundamental misunderstanding of the real issues facing Ghanaians.

Odike argues that the political leaders are more focused in their manifesto pledges than seeking to genuinely address the pressing challenges facing the people in the country.

“I’ve carefully analyzed the promises made by Mahama and Bawumia, and it’s evident that they haven’t truly grasped our problems. They seem to have no clear understanding of the issues affecting us,” Odike remarked.

He further stated that both leaders are more interested in their manifestoes than in creating a comprehensive national plan that could drive real change.

Odike’s expounding his view on Angel Morning Show, Monday, August 26, 2024 stated that the path to national development lies in constitutional reform and the implementation of a National Plan—not in the repeated cycles of manifesto promises that have been a staple of Ghanaian politics since independence.

“We’ve seen countless manifestos over the years, yet they have failed to bring about the development we need. This clearly shows that manifestos alone aren’t the answer to our nation’s challenges,” he concluded.
