The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Yilo Krobo Constituency in the Eastern Region, Dr. Richard Twum Barimah Koranteng, has rubbished claims that he is teaming with the Electoral Commission in the area to rig the 2024 parliamentary elections to his favor.
Dr. Twum described the matter as falsehood and said it was mere propaganda by members of the National Democratic Congress to tarnish his image.
Speaking to Angel News reporter Jaman Dehyee Opambour, he stated that other political opponents are amazed at his developmental projects in the constituency within the shortest time as parliamentary hopeful, leaving them in a state of nightmare.
He added further that the allegation is a ploy by his opponents ahead of the elections, however, it will not materialize.
Dr. Twum Barima who is the Second Vice Chairman of the NPP in the Eastern Region believes the propaganda scheme by the faceless people will not stop him from winning the seat come December 7, 2024, to unseat the NDC.
Dr. Twum Barima Koranteng rebutted on Monday, September 9, 2024, when he filed his nominations in his bid to context the 2024 parliamentary elections.
He has urged all party supporters to rally themselves for victory in the upcoming elections to see tremendous development in Yilo Krobo.
“I call on my supporters to maintain peace and decorum as the campaign heats up. Remember that our opponents are our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers and children.”
According to him “Unity is important as we head into a pivotal election season” emphasizing embracing peace before, during, and after the dee day.
On his part, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Yilo Krobo touted the many developmental projects the NPP parliamentary aspirant have embarked on and advised the people to give him the nod to do more.
In his view, having Dr. Twum Barimah Koranteng as MP for Yilo Krobo come January 2025 will be a blessing to the constituency.
