The running mate for the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Wayoe Ghanamannti, has sounded a caution to the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) and its founder, Rev Christian Kwabena Andrew, popularly known as Sof Kyiri Abosom to cease with immediate effect from cashing in on the goodwill of first Ghana President, Kwame Nkrumah.
According to him, he gets upset anytime he sees GUM which does not trace its roots to the CPP campaigning with the ‘good works’ of Ghana’s first leader.
“GUM is running on the goodwill of the CPP which is not the right thing to do,” he said.
Speaking on Monday September 30, 2024, on the Angel Morning Show (AMS), he stated that GUM should refer to the CPP whenever they speak about Nkrumah’s unfinished developmental projects.
He further called on the GUM party and Osofo Kyiri to consider a partnership with the CPP if they seek to make any impact in Ghana’s politics.
