Ghanaians are demanding the dismissal of Otto Addo as head coach of the Black Stars following their surprising 2-0 loss to Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The national team was seeking its first victory in the qualifiers after a challenging start.

Earlier, Ghana had faced a 1-0 defeat against Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium and managed a 1-1 draw against Niger in Berkane.

In a doubleheader against Sudan, the Black Stars were held to a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium last Thursday.

However, in the reverse fixture at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya, the team was beaten 2-0 by Kwesi Appiah’s squad.

Second-half goals from Ahmed Hamed Mahmoud and Mohamed Abdelrahman secured the win for Sudan’s Falcons.

The results leave Ghana in third place in Group F, with only two points from four matches.

The Black Stars are set to end their qualifiers with a match against Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium, followed by an away game against Angola in Luanda next month.

Following the recent defeat, many Ghanaians took to social media, calling for Otto Addo to be sacked as coach of the national team.

Below are some of the reactions:
