The Tema West New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman, Kwasi Poku has criticized the party’s decision to dismiss Hopeson Adorye, describing it as a mistake that could have been handled more effectively.
During an interview on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on October 23, 2024, Poku argued that instead of outright dismissal, the party could have used a more measured approach. He believes Adorye should have been allowed to continue his activities under careful scrutiny.
“If we had let him continue while keeping an eye on his actions, the party’s leadership, such as the President or General Secretary, could have intervened when needed. That way, if necessary, dismissal could follow proper procedures. But by dismissing him outright, we lost any control or ability to bring him back into order,” Poku said.
He emphasized that a better approach would have ensured that Adorye’s dismissal, if required, was based on clear reasons, maintaining both discipline and respect within the party.
