The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has announced some 20 accredited health facilities which will be offering free dialysis treatment across the country.
This initiative which takes effective December 1, 2024, aims to alleviate financial burden on kidney patients covered by the NHIS.
It was first announced by Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during a campaign tour in the Ashanti Region last month November.

- Newtown Islamic Hospital Ltd
- Ghana Police Hospital
- Trust Hospital Premium Centre
- Ridge Regional Hospital
- International Maritime Hospital
- Tamale Teaching Hospital
- Regional Hospital, Bolgatanga
- Upper West Regional Hospital
